This is a 2007 ALL-AMERICA SELECTIONS WINNER. This is the first hybrid pasilla pepper which are known for their distinctive earthy, nutty, kind-of spicy flavors in authentic mole sauces. We were pleased with its preformance and flavor. Peppers grow 7-9" long, green maturing to a dark chocolate color. We use them fresh or dried; they add the rich smoky earthy flavor with very little heat to authentic dishes.
